Art Bridging -photos II.
I remembered i also have another favourite other than the ripped-cloth and black and colourful flowers! It's the wood carvings. It's very very cool!
I didn't take the whole stretch of wood carvings. I only took two parts from the first side of the wall. The artist carved a whole stretch of same but different carvings and took photos of each carvings. He then made it into a video and when you play it quickly, it's like the carvings are animated they can move e.g. surfing, playing the guitar. Very cool. Love it! :D
These are right beside the black and colourful flowers. When you walk pass them, they will follow you. They are carved inwards at some angle and painted to create this illusion that they are following you.
This is a book floating in the water. It has words in the book. Why isn't the book tearing and rotting in the water? Guess. :D
This is something like an alien invasion. The artist got his inspirations from the new Supreme Court. The new court serve as the UFO.
The whole room's floor is actually a map of singapore. You can find your flat and everything there. Those white squares are stickers. You can write your own message and paste it wherever you want. I couldn't find my flat so i paste it beside Jia Hui's.
These are daily necessities which words have been changed to make you feel uncomfortable. But i don't feel uncomfortable actually. Anyway, it says "My Soul my Universe where were you all those days tolerating intolerance."
Took this cause it's so Sharpey-ish. :D It says "You are the fearless rose that grows amist the freezing winds." if i'm not wrong.
These are maggots leading to the toilet. Each maggots have different facial expressions -but i think they all look the same.

P.S: The reason why the book is not tearing and rotting because it's not made of paper. It's made of leather! :D
